The Ghostly Monks Of Arbroath

The sound of religious chanting can at times be heard emanating from within the historical grounds of the abbey.

Ghostly apparitions with their flowing robes and gracious sense of gliding movement has been reported by many witnesses.

Unmistakably, they are the abbey monks from times goes by – that float across the grounds and surrounding areas – and may even be the previously mentioned Cardinal Beaton and his faithful followers.

Additional Activity At Arbroath Abbey

Fragrant smells coming from one particular area within Arbroath Abbey, noises caught on tape in the Abbot House and the above mentioned monks, suggest, that this location is no stranger to various activity.

The question is whether it’s active spirits, or residual energy that replays when the conditions allow.

The Haunted Arbroath Abbey

Peaceful & Stunning

My impressions of this location are that of a peaceful and tranquil historical monument but with added atmosphere.

I certainly would not envision a threatening activity being present, but there is that subjective feeling that non-physical energies are very much here.
