In addition, we have sparse reports of photographs of possible spirit’s emanating from this Edinburgh location.

The origin and the history of the chapel are obscure, but it was certainly built no later than the early 15th century, as in 1426 it is recorded that the Pope gave money for its repair.

Ghost Voices of Linlithgow PalaceLinlithgow Palace, situated 15 miles from Edinburgh, lies in a strategic position dominating the supply line between Stirling Castle & Edinburgh Castle.

It was one of the main residences for Scotland’s monarchs from the 15th century, however, after Scotland’s the unification with England in 1603, the palace was scarcely used and fell into disrepair, suffering extensive burning in 1746.

Queen Margaret’s Tower at the top of one of the stair towers, is said to be haunted by Mary of Guise, waiting for the return of her husband, James V.

Ghosts 2015: Newark Castle in Fife

Newark Castle in Fife

Newark CastleNewark Castle is the ruin which is located just outside the town of St Monans, on the east coast of Fife.

Such buildings at this coastal location in Fife, probably date back to the 13th century with stories of the Scottish King, Alexander III spending some of his childhood here.

The ruins currently visible are the remains of buildings constructed under the ownership of David Leslie in the 17th century.

David Leslie was a prominent figure in the English and Scottish Civil Wars, becoming Lord Newark after them.
