The Old Ship Inn, was Established in 1665 in the city of Perth in Scotland. The stunning little public house – which incidentally is Perth oldest one – sits at 31 Hight St in Perth, not far from the famous River Tay, that runs through this part of Scotland.

In times gone by, this location would have been a second home to sailors who would come off the ships on the Tay, and as they do, had a jolly old-time while moored.

Video: Paranormal Investigation at Greyfriars in Perth

Greyfriars Burial Ground was established in 1580 when the kirkyard of St John’s Kirk ran out of space for more graves. The site was chosen due to its long-established religious tradition. First off, this is easy to confuse with the notorious Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh, with its world-famous activity from within the Covenanter’s prison area. This specific one I speak of here is based in the City of Perth.

This is the full final cut video presentation, which includes opening information, spiritual impressions with Bryan Boyle, and finishes with a few possible spirit voice captures via the Echovox application.

Greyfriars in Perth, Scotland.

Greyfriars Burial Ground was established in 1580 when the kirkyard of St John’s Kirk ran out of space for more graves. The site was chosen due to its long-established religious tradition.

A Franciscan Friary was founded here in 1496 you see, which was the boundaries of Perth. The friary was completely destroyed at the start of the Reformation due to rioting following a very passionate sermon given by John Knox.

With such history, and destruction, is it any surprise that we now see more and more paranormal experiences surfacing from here.

Ghost Activity: The Mercure Perth Hotel

We have all heard of the hauntings in Edinburgh and we also know and attend many events in places such as Inveraray, Glasgow, Jedburgh and Aberdeen, but rarely do we hear much from the City of Perth, in terms of opportunities to seek out possible hauntings.

Well, that is about to change and my advice is to be fast as this one will not last long….

Perth tearoom hailed as best evidence of paranormal in 10 years

A CAFE owner has called in the ghost-hunters after claiming to have seen a spirit on his security camera.

Chills went down Dan Clifford’s spine when he checked his CCTV and saw what he’s convinced was a ghostly apparition hovering over a table set for two.

He summoned a team of ghost specialists, who said the sighting – said to be a figure of a woman – was the most striking evidence they had come across in almost 10 years.

Elcho Castle

Region : Perth
Location : Elcho
Details : nothing remains of an earlier castle and the present building dates back to about 1570. the main structure is of a massive tower house plus an outer courtyard and ranges of buildings to the south ; unfortunately only fragmentary remains of which survive. In 1830 the Eighth Earl of Wemyss re-roofed the tower house and pulled down most of the buildings in the outer courtyard. In 1929, the Eleventh Earl placed the castle in the care of the State, and it is today in the custody of Historic Scotland.

Paranormal Phenomena :
Elcho Castle was Investigated by Ryan O’Neill back in 2005 along with members of the old Scottish Paranormal team. This was one of the first locations visited and it yielded good material and was a stunning location but paranormal activity was non-existent at that time. Ryan did come away with a rather nasty scratch on his forearm but it was decided at the time that it may have been caused by his clothing, although it was hard to get a definite conclusion. Please check back for more material on this location….it shall be added before the end of winter 2012.
