Is there a haunted building near you in the following piece?

The Jacobite Series: Haunted History of Scotland

In the coming months, here at Haunted Scotland, we will be probing the Haunted History of Scotland. We will follow in the footsteps of the Jacobites, seek out locations associated with King Robert The Bruce, scramble across the country in search of Mary Queen of Scots and finally, lookout for the outlaw and national hero, William Wallace and his locations of interest.

We want to see if the conscious energies of these long gone physical figures still frequent their past locations of interest.

Come join us in the search, as we start with the Jacobite Risings, here at Haunted Scotland….

Top Scottish Haunted Hot Spots This Halloween

It’s such a regular occurrence here at Haunted Scotland – and previously as the founding member and owner of Scottish Paranormal – that my email box begins to fill up with requests for information on the best places to stay (with a haunting of course) along with where to visit and, in my opinion, what I suggest through my experiences.

As we approach Halloween, I wanted to offer a few suggestions to get you in the spirit of the season and allow you to get those plans made early.

Getting the most out of your Echovox

So you have the application on your Smart-Phone or PC Tablet and you are ready to rock and roll on location. However, how do you begin you may wonder, and what is the best way to conduct such sessions to get maximum possibility of results.

Like anything in the paranormal world, results are never guaranteed and when they are forthcoming, people rarely agree that such are significant enough.

How Does Echovox Work?

In yesterdays short article named Does Echovox Work, we spoke about how this application was different from the ghostly fun on android or Iphone applications, that may be purchased through places such as Google Play.

I reassured everyone that we have a good working device that may be used by any researcher or member of the public, with an interest in this type of study.

Protect Your Paranormal Research & Observations

Members of the paranormal research field get a hard time from many quarters, whether it be about finding extraordinary evidence, which I have shown to be irrational, or due to individuals who are using the field to propel media careers, while they attack all and sundry to reach that goal.

I have also discovered that location owners, or curators, may in fact be playing games also, to boost their own work and place teams against each other with behind-back whispers, or even trying to catch out mediumistic researchers with false information.

Where is the proof?

It’s simply the cry from the sidelines involving those who prefer theories, in-favour of actions or results. It really is very simple to sit in the armchair and proclaim a whole manner of hypothesises, debunking everything in your path without so much as movement, to take action, so as to experience directly.

Usually such ways of operation are preferred by a whole host of members from what I term, Pseudo-Sceptical groups and organisations.

Are We “Normal”

I drive a car that displays Haunted Scotland in the back window, letting people know where to find the website, what I do and how they may contact me, if need be.

In conjunction with the knowledge, that many hold, that I research the paranormal and even visit haunted hot-spots, it certainly raises some eyebrows.

Those who deem themselves as “Normal” scoff at the idea, they see what they are doing as normal, in everyday life. More still, both religious people and left-brained academics may look down their nose at such ludicrous behaviour.

Paranormal Labelled Boxes

It’s become pretty clear to me, even as I sit reading information with no relation to the paranormal, or the mysteries. Yet, still people are disputing each others viewpoints and using such…..what am I speaking about…..BOXES!

People love to place others in boxes, and label them with blanket terms to attempt ridicule or dish out their own little game of ad hominem attack. This, of course, is to attack the person because they can not find a problem with said persons hypothesis or truths.

The Tay Bridge Disaster

At approximately 7:15 p.m, on the stormy night of the 28th December 1879, the central navigation spans of the Tay bridge collapsed into the Firth of Tay at Dundee, taking with them a train, 6 carriages and 75 souls to their fate.

At the time, a gale estimated at Beaufort force 10/11 was blowing down the Tay estuary at right angles to the bridge. The collapse of the bridge, only opened 19 months and passed safe by the Board of Trade, sent shock waves through the Victorian engineering profession and general public.
