Huntingtower Castle

So Haunted Scotland takes the trip north from Fife to visit an old haunt. Huntingtower Castle sits in the fantastic scenic region of Perthshire and in good company too, with Scone Palace and Elcho castle not much more than a stone throw away.

Huntingtower was once named the “Place Of Ruthven” until around the 1600’s which would be in accordance with the noble family of Ruthvens.

It’s been in great company over the years too, playing host for Mary Queen Of Scots, Lord Darnley and even Mary’s son, James VI, whom was held here against his will by the Earl of Gowrie. It certainly has its history and with every such history……we find associated paranormal allegations and observations.

The story as I know it goes like this:

A ghostly lady seen haunting the upper floors. Many visitors have witnessed this while visiting. Apparently she died whilst trying to jump from one tower to the other to see her boyfriend. No one really has any idea who this phantom could be.

It is said that her appearance warns against approaching bad luck, and can bring about improved health and fortune. Some reports say she is green others white.

The previous visit to this stunning location resulted in myself – Ryan O’Neill – walking toward a fellow Investigator in the main hall, to only but encounter a cold spot that felt likewise to an open walk-in freezer. So much so was the shock of the temperature change, that it caused my breath to be taken away and actually, slightly, knocked me backwards.

I spent a fair part of the visit in this same area alone in 2012, and did not find anything unusual that time. It was actually very peaceful and calm.

However, this time I have a different take. Again, I found the biting cold in this area and to add to this, at one point, felt my arms begin to act as if Pins & Needles were about to take hold.

I went in with a flexible mindset while open to any possibilities of spiritual encounters. I thus, admit, to this being a very peculiar visit indeed through my own subjective experience.

Lets wait and see what the Echovox sessions bring up, and the reaming material suggests, after we complete the analysis

Please enjoy the video, the photographs and look out for additional material coming soon!
