Paranormal Phenomena : It obtained its reputation after a visit by the Bishop of St Andrews in 1620, who witnessed the ghost of a former Lady Guthrie – allegedly to make sure he was comfortable. Since which time it is said, she has returned to look after whoever is sleeping there. Castle Guthrie is now a hotel and visitors can opt to stay overnight in the “Ghost Suite”.
